Overview
Trippin ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
Authentication
We use Firebase Authentication to manage user accounts. You can sign in with:
- Email and password
- Google Sign-In
We store only the information necessary to authenticate your account (email address, display name, and authentication tokens).
Data Storage
Your trip data, badges, and preferences are stored securely using Google Cloud Firestore. This includes:
- Trip plans and routes
- Drive history and statistics
- Achievement badges earned
- App preferences and settings
Location Tracking
Trippin accesses your device's location only during active drive mode. Location data is used to:
- Track your real-time driving progress
- Calculate distance and route information
- Discover nearby points of interest
We do not track your location in the background or when the app is not actively in drive mode.
Maps and Search
We use Mapbox to provide map tiles and location search functionality. Your search queries and map interactions are subject to Mapbox's Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions
Subscription management is handled through RevenueCat. RevenueCat processes purchase data to manage your subscription status. No payment card details are stored by Trippin — all payments are processed through Apple's App Store. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for more details.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Data is shared only with the service providers listed above, strictly for the purpose of operating the app.
Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@trippin.app. We will process your request within 30 days.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
